Daisy J. Hays, 104, formerly of 900 N. Pitt St., Carlisle, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998 in Thorn-wald Home, Carlisle.
Born April 18, 1894 in Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Wilson Shatto. She was the widow of Eugene A. Hays, who died in 1933.
Mrs. Hays retired from Troy Laundry in Carlisle at the age of 80, after 30 years of service.
Surviving are one daughter, Marian L. Rhoads of Carlisle; one sister, Ellen Kramer of Carlisle; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Revs. Richard A. Ruff and Sharon F. Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township.
