Birth: Jan. 24, 1933
Death: Dec. 24, 1999

Musician. Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, he was tenor singer and a original member of the 1950s Doo Wop group, ‘The Flamingos'. Together their many hits included, "That's My Desire," "Golden Teardrops," "Jump Children," "The Vow," "If I Can't Have You," "Goodnight Sweetheart" and the classic remake "I Only Have Eyes For You". He died of a heart attack in Washington, D.C. and ‘The Flamingos' were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
