Mabel Elizabeth Gibble, of Mount Joy, entered into peaceful slumber March 30, 2009. She was 87.

She was the daughter of the late Jacob S. and Annie M. Zink Shank.

Mabel worked as a skiver at the former Sylvania Shoe Company, Savoy Shoe Company, and Empire Shoe Company. She loved the mountains, traveling by motorcycle, working on puzzles, cross stitching, cooking, card games, and spending time with her family, especially the little ones. In her early years she enjoyed cooking and will be remembered as being a very loving and devoted mother.

She was the loving wife of Roy S. Gibble, who passed away in 1973, and surviving are three daughters, Nancy Felix and husband Wendell, of Hanover, Linda Gallagher and husband Joseph, of Hanover, and Elizabeth Turzai and husband Joseph, of Mount Joy; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Halterman, Halifax.

She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Elizabethtown.

Interment was in Good's Mennonite Cemetery.
