Logan Cravens, 63, Rural Route 1, Watseka, died at Iroquois Memorial Hospital. Born January 13, 1913 in Kentucky, he was the son of Tim and Kit Bryant Cravens. March 31, 1941 he was married at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, to Sarah Nance. Surviving are his wife; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Anne Reilly; and one granddaughter, Miss Judy Reilly, both of Watseka; four brothers, Charles Cravens, Shepherdsville, Kentucky, George Cravens, Middleton [should be Middletown], Ohio, Garnett Cravens, Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, and Paul Cravens, Gilman [Illinois]; three sisters, Mrs. Sara Moss and Mrs. Ann Conover, Russell Springs, Kentucky, and Mrs. Eula Mae Wencke, Greenwood, Indiana. Mr. Cravens farmed in the Watseka area for the past 13 years and had previously lived in the Gilman area for 14 years. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 26, at 2 p.m. at the DeValk Funeral Home, Watseka, the Rev. Hubert Lytle officiating with burial in Oak Hill cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Mr. Cravens name to the American Cancer Society.
