Born the son of Marcus Leroy Bullington and Sarah Caldonia Call, Monroe L. Bullington married Rosa Elizabeth Van Horn Shull who had a young son named Andrew Shull on Oct 13 1902.

He and Rosa had six children of their own:
Mamie Lola Bullington Capps
Lois Caldonia Bullington Gibbons
Roy Monroe Bullington
Lloyd Kenneth Bullington
Fontella Rose Bullington Baker
Violet Noveta Bullington McDaniel

The Bullington grandchildren were:
Bobby Wayne Capps
Betty Rosalie Gibbons Malan
Dennie Bullington
Donnie Bullington
Gary Bullington
Linda Kay Bullington Woolery
Gerald McDaniel
Lonnie Bill McDaniel
Bud Shull
Gregory Shull
Gloria Ann Shull

The black and white photo of the stone was taken about a day after Rosa's memorial service. Another photo I have that leads me to that conclusion is of her casket before it was lowered. "Back then," taking such photos was something that people did more than they do now.
