Was one of 248 soldiers who died in a plane crash. All but 12 were members of the U.S. Army's elite 101st. Airborne Unit. They were all killed instantly when their chartered Arrow Air DC-8 transport plane crashed.

The eight crew members also died.

The crash investgation records were ordered sealed for 70 years by the U.S. Government.
