Clay E. Moffatt, 82, of Sissonville, WV went home to be with the Lord November 28, 2008 at home, after a short illness. Clay was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard and was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was also retired from Hasting Manufacturing, a former employee of Farrell Hardware and was a dedicated employee of Long and Fisher Funeral Home. He was a member and deacon of Pocatalico Community Church for 45 years.
Clay is survived by his loving wife Norma Tignor Moffatt. His daughters Joyce McFarland and her husband Orville of Sissonville and Narketta Beckner and her husband Jack also of Sissonville. Grandchildren Wade Hampton, Dana McFarland and his wife Michelle. Great grand daughter Alexis McFarland and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Wilma Snodgrass for all her care and support.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 1 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with the Rev. Buddy Mairs officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call 5-8 PM Sunday November 30 at the funeral home.
