SOUTH BELOIT - Alice L. Martin, 91, died at 9:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born March 25, 1912, in Vernon, the daughter of Herman and Bessie Meadors. She married Charles C. Martin on Feb. 7, 1929, in Wheaton he predeceased her in October 1995. Alice worked for more than 20 years at J.L. Clark Manufacturing Co. in Rockford, and was a longtime member of Rockford Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Joy Jordan of Rockton, Marilyn (Bob) Howard of Decatur, Shirley (Alan) Grant of South Beloit and Charles (Ruth) Martin of Bluff City, Tenn. 13 grandchildren many great- and great-great-grandchildren brother, Lloyd Meadors nieces, nephews and very dear friends.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, in Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 325 N. Alpine Road, Rockford, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Pastor Wayne D. Miller will be officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made in care of the church. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road. 10-1-2
