Ruby Frances (Jones) {Byrd} Simpson, 71, was born Monday 13 Dec 1937 to Mr. Mode Oliver Jones and Orell (Russell) Jones.
She died Friday October 2nd 2009 at home in Snow Lake Shores MS of COPD
She was a retired Personnel Director for Shelby County Health Care and was a Baptist.
She married her first husband Jack Donald Byrd son Theodore Harris Byrd and Sallie Cochran on 28 May 1955 at the age of 18 in Tipton County Tennessee with Rev. Raymond Holloway Presiding they had three children Keith Scott Byrd, John Gregory Byrd, and Maragret Tracy Byrd.
She remarried in 1971 to her second Husband Gerald Glen Simpson.
She is preceded in Death by her Parents Mr. Mode Oliver Jones and Orell (Russell) Jones and her daughter Maragret Tracy Byrd and two siblings her brother Malcom Edward Jones and sister Lois Juanita Jones (Byrd)(Simpson).
She is survived by her two sons Keith Scott Byrd of Ventress, LA and John Gregory Byrd of Memphis; Her second husband Gerald Glen Simpson of Snow Lake Shores sisters, Barbara Carr of Dresden, TN, Annie Lee Hawk of San Diego, CA; brothers, Larry Jones, Mode Jones, Morris Jones, Harry Jones, all of Covington, TN; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, October 5 from 10 a.m. 12 Noon with service to follow at 1 p.m. at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
