NORTH WASHINGTON - The entire community was shocked and saddened at the report of the death of Edward Prescott last Wednesday night and the death of his son Herbert Prescott Thursday morning, only a few hours apart. Both were stricken only a few days before with pneumonia. The father was 81 years, 6 months and 9 days old, a highly respected citizen of this town for many years. The son was 46 years old. He, too, was a respected man of sterling character. The latter leaves a widow and four children. The double funeral was held Sunday at the church at Washington village. Interment was at Razorville Cemetery.
Rev. Eugene Prescott and wife of Cleveland, Ohio were here Sunday by auto to attend the funeral services of his father and brother.
