After a two weeks illness from hemorrhage of the spleen, Miss Dorothy Frakes died early Friday morning at the Blytheville hospital. Her death is mourned by her family and a large circle of friends, both old and young. Dorothy had been in ill health for several years, but attended school until the past few months. She was loved by all who knew her for her sweet disposition.
Dorothy Agnes Frakes was born November 17, 1919, and died April 14, 1933, at the age of 13 years, 4 months and 28 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Frakes. Beside the parents, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Bethel Shelton, two brothers, R. C. and Arvie Glen, a little niece, Onita Shelton, and grandmother, Mrs. Mary Frakes and many other relatives.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ, conducted by her pastor, L. S. Thurmond. Interment with the German Undertaking Co., in charge was made in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pall bearers were Cecil Earls, Paul Cooper, J. Y. Huffman, Thos. I Whitfield, Wallace McCollum and Cecil Hamilton. Flower girls were Misses Madolene Kelley, Dorothy Pierce, Ganell Weaver, Dorothy Yeager, Cleo Ozment, Q'Bell McDaniel, Alice Michie, and Edith Pierce.
