Verna was born the daughter of Albert and Addie (Meserve) Ridlon. Verna passed on at the Maine Medical Center.
Verna was employed at Pleasant Mountain Moc in Bridgton for more than 30 years, before her retirement.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and reading. She was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon. Her true joy in life was having her home always open for family and friends. She called her home the "free café" for everyone to come and enjoy coffee and homemade cookies.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving children, John Seavey, Jean Campbell, David Seavey, Janet Seavey, Janice Larson and Robert Seavey; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests, for those who wish, donations in Verna's memory be made to the Kidney Foundation of Maine, P.O. Box 1134, Portland, ME 04104.
