Martha I. Findley
HOMER--Martha I. (Dixon) Findley, 64, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Homer, died Friday, Sept. 21, 1990, in Central Michigan Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.
She was born in Concord and spent most of her life in the Homer area, moving to Mt. Pleasant in the early 1970s. She worked at state homes in Coldwater and Mt. Pleasant for 22 years.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Homer, the First Presbyterian Church and the Mary Martha Circle.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Broxholm of Homer; a son, Larry Findley of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren; her mother, Ethel Dixon of Marshall; and a sister, Beth Murray of Concord.
Her husband Leslie Findley, died in 1988; and a son, Terry Findley, died in 1964.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Homer. Memorial donations may be made to the church or the Order of the Eastern Star. Arrangements are by the Homer Chapel of Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels.

She was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Concord to Merrill and Ethel (Burt) Dixon. She married Leslie B. Findley on July 26, 1947, in Colon. He preceded her in death in 1988.
She was originally from Homer and moved to Mt. Pleasant in the early 1970s. She worked at state homes in Coldwater and Mt. Pleasant for 22 years.
She was a member of the Homer First Presbyterian Church, the church's Martha Circle, and Order of Eastern Star in Homer.
Mrs. Findley is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alan (Judy) Broxholm of Homer; one son, Larry Findley of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Ethel Dixon of Marshall; and one sister, Mrs. Beth Murray of Concord.
