Her parents were Daniel Epley and Catherina Keebler. Her birthplace is inferred from her family's appearance in the 1800 and 1810 Lincoln County, NC Censuses. The gravestone says she was born in 1811, but the 1850 Hamilton Co., TN Census, the 1860 Hickory Co., MO Census and the 1870 and 1880 Grant, Dallas Co., MO Censuses all show she was born in about 1808 or 1809.
