Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her dear husband, Edwin. They met while both of them were students at Central MI University. He was an educator and journalist. They were married on May 29, 1942, for 65 years. He passed away in 2007. She was the devoted mother of three daughters. Dear grandmother of six, and of three great grandchildren. She was a graduate of CMU with an Education degree, and majors in English and Journalism. She was a teacher, enjoyed reading, and excelled at writing.
