Luther L. Bondurant CHESAPEAKE - Luther L. "Boo" Bondurant, 86 years young, went to be with his Lord March 8, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert L. Bondurant Sr. and Gertrude Gibson Bondurant and siblings, Herbert L. Bondurant Jr., J. Alva Bondurant, Walton G. Bondurant Sr., M. Nelson Bondurant and Mattie Bondurant Morgan. He is survived by his loving wife, Effie "Babe" Bondurant; daughters, Esther Q. Dellinger, Pam Ells-Johnson; two sons, Corey A. Quidley and Patrick W. Dunn; 10 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, his church family; and very special family friend, Joyce Beard. Luther served his country in the U.S. Army. After his years of service, he was employed by Sovran bank (which is now Bank of America) where he retired after 47 ½ years of service. He was a Deacon Emeritus, a teacher and member of the John Morrison Bible Class at Rosemont Christian Church. Funeral Friday in Rosemont Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Kilyk and the Rev. Henry Napier officiating, burial will be in the Gibson Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to his name to Rosemont Christian Church.
