GEORGE W. MILLER
Who came into prominence through his connection with the Salvation Army, for which religious organization he used to beat the bass drum, died at ? o'clock last evening at his home, 11?? Twentieth avenue, of dysentery. He had been ailing for some time. Deceased was born at Milesburg, Centre Co., on July 4, 1842, and he resided in this vicinity for a number of years. He was a veteran of the civil war, having served in Company A, Forty-ninth Pennsylvania volunteers. He was at one time a member of the Bellwood post of the Grand Army of the Republic. He was twice married and is survived by his second wife and two children, John C. and Josephine, both at home.
