IVOR, VA. - Elbert Jones Cutright Sr., 68, died Saturday, Jan. 26, in his home.
He was a native of Goochland and had been a Southampton County resident more than 40 years. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Cutright was a member of Millfield Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Matney Cutright; two sons, Elbert J. Cutright Jr. of Sebrell and Leslie Cutright of Sedly; one daughter, Barbara C. Edwards of Franklin; one sister, Vivian C. Matthews of Pompano Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Amos Cutright of Ivor and Gilbert Cutright of Richmond; six grandchildren; eight stepchildren and 18 step-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. Frank Crawford. Burial will be in Ivor Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence.
