Husband of Sophie P. Wojnisz Cantera.

Samuel, who resided at 508 West 24th street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Private, Company D, 16th Armored Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on May 20, 1943 in Camden, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed as a Structural and ornamental metal worker and also as Married.

He "Died Of Wounds" received in action in Italy during the war.

He served in the Army for one year and one month and was awarded the Purple Heart.
