Marielle, age 19, who was just one day away from getting her high school diploma, died in a train accident in Steger. Marielle was an honors student at Bloom Trail High School. She loved to read and she spent time with students with special needs. A future freshman at University of Illinois at Chicago, Marielle wanted to be a lawyer.
Marielle C. Anderson, age 19 of Steger, IL., passed away suddenly on May 23, 2006 at St. James Medical Center. Marielle is survived by her Parents Craig and Marcia Anderson of Steger, 3 brothers Beau (Emily) Anderson of Everette Wa., Bryan Anderson and Jason Tanner both of Steger and by a sister Jaime (Steve) Jeeninga of Crown, IN., A funeral mass will be said on Tuesday May 30th at 11:00 am at St. Liborius Catholic Church, 35th, St. and Halsted Blvd., Steger. Visitation will be held on Monday May 29th at the Smits Funeral Homes - Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger) from 2:00 till 9:00 pm. Interment is private.
