She was a homemaker, loved to bowl and was a member of Sunnycrest United Methodist Church, Marion, where she played the organ and piano. She also was a member of the Dana Sympathy Club.
Survivors include sons, James L. (Anna) Monts and Robert D. (Cindra) Monts, all of Marion, Ralph L. (Donna) Monts and Bill J. (Judy) Monts, all of Sweetser, and Ted R. Monts, Duryea, Pa.; daughters, Rose (Jack) Whitton, Marion, Betty (Phil) Pence, Sweetser, and Sue (Gary) Stepler and Wanda (Danny) Stepler, all of Amboy; son-in-law, Gene Nelson, Fairmount; brothers, Harry (Willie) Goss, Kokomo, and John (Virginia) Goss, North Vernon; a sister, Sarah (Bob) Goble, Muncie; 35 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by children, Donald R. Monts and Patricia A. Nelson.
