Daughter of John and Catherine (Hertzler) Hochstetler. Wife of Abraham Miller. Mother of Christian and Daniel Miller, Sarah Nisley, Catherine Yoder, Magdalena Maust and Susanna Petershime Kemp. She died of a broken neck after being thrown from a horse near Johnstown on the way to or from church. Year of death unknown, but she was living in 1820.
Note: Would be buried in one of the 6 additional graves on the Irvin Miller farm with her son Daniel. From WPA records:
"7 adult graves marked with native stones, not inscribed said to contain the remains of DANIEL MILLER and some of his family."
Daniel's brother-in-law, a suicide, who died in 1829, is buried outside the enclosure, indicating that graves existed IN the enclosure prior to 1829. Daniel did not die until 1835. All other adult members of Daniel's immediate family (including in-laws) are accounted for, leaving his parents (who both died prior to 1829) to be two of the 7 unidentified adult burials.
