|Birth: ||1749, Germany|
|Death: ||Oct., 1828|
Born in Germany, possibly in Dillenburg, ca. 1749. Married first to Abraham Spangler, who died in Germany. Immigrated to America and married on 19 July 1778 in Hagerstown, Md., to Christian Livingston (Leviston, Levingston). Removed from Maryland to Somerset Co., Pa., where her husband died in 1800. In 1813, Anna migrated with her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Elias Risely to Stark Co., Ohio. Mother of John, Christian and Abraham Spangler, and of David Livingston, Elizabeth Royer, Susanna Gnaegi, Catherine Risely, Mary Kopp Messimore, Henry Livingston, Andrew Livingston and Anne Baughman.
According to Elias Gnagey's "A Compleat History of Christian Gnaegi" Anna 'was buried in the small family graveyard, in the north-east corner of the orchard, west of the public road leading from Freeburg to Paris, and only a few rods from the Riseley home'.
From the Alliance Review, 17 December 1884:
"George Ricely exhumed the bodies of his parents and several others who were buried out on his farm and had them interred in the cemetery adjoining the Brethren church."
Anna's grave in the Freeburg cemetery is currently unidentified, but is probably near that of her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Elias Riseley.
