Shirlee Ann Klass, 76, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday December 31, 2009 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
There will be no service according to Shirlee's wishes. Interment will take place in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at North Lawn Cemetery.
Shirlee was born July 12, 1933 in Iowa City, Iowa. On September 13, 1952 she was united in marriage to Jack Klass in Arkansas. For several years Shirlee was the Clerk for the Iowa State Highway Patrol before getting into real estate. Her Fort Dodge Real Estate career earned her many awards and top seller of the year.
Shirlee loved the outdoors whether she was fishing, golfing or working in her garden. She enjoyed bowling and earned the bowler of the year award. Shirlee was an avid reader in her quiet time.
Those thankful for having shared in Shirlee's life include her children: Jacqueline Slaton of Oklahoma, Jodi Klass of Phoenix, AZ, Jack L. Klass, Jr. of Fort Dodge, IA, one sister, three brothers, seven grandchildren: Travis Steffenson, Tracy Steffenson, Jodi Jenkins, Kyle Klass, Chad Klass, Ashley Klass, Adam Klass, two great grandchildren: Abby Jenkins and Nathan Jenkins.
Mrs. Klass was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
