SOLDIER'S WOUNDS FATAL (9-14-1918)
Private William J. Wott, reported last week as having been seriously wounded in action on Sept. 12, died of his wounds two days later, according to information received from the War Department the last of the week by the young soldier's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Wott, north of town. He was a member of Co. C, 11th infantry, and had been in France since last spring.
Arrangements will be made by the local Red Cross for a memorial service for Private Wott, as well as for Private Percy Norman, who died at Camp Sheridan last week.
