William Bedell Yaryan was the 2nd of 7 children of Jacob Yaryan and Sarah Bedell.
He came with his family from Union County, Indiana, to Wapello County, Iowa, between 1845 and 1848.
He married 1st to Sarah H. Sage on September 5, 1861, in Wapello County, Iowa.
He married 2nd to Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis Bonefield on March 8, 1877, Ringgold County, Iowa.
He married 3rd to Mrs. Harriet Wiard Shawler on May 28, 1903. She was the daughter of J. Millard Wiard/Weard and Charlotte Lesch. William, Elizabeth, and Harriet are all buried in the Clearfield Cemetery.
William served as a sergeant in Company E, 22nd Iowa Infantry. His brother, Andrew, was killed in action serving in the same company.
