Raymond Lee Guidry, Sr.
Ringgold, La. - Raymond Lee Guidry, Sr., 68, of Ringgold, La. was called home on Sunday, April 17, 2011 after a short illness. Born September 20, 1942 to Ora and Marie Inez Mire Guidry in Lake Charles, La., Mr. Guidry served proudly in the United States Army for several years and stood colorguard for John F. Kennedy on the presidents trip to Berlin, Germany. He was an oilfield truck driver for many years and was a retired construction worker. Mr. Guidry was preceded in death by two sons, Travis Colter Guidry and Clint Matthew Dorsey. He was survived by his wife Bonnie Lou Ellis Guidry; four children, Patti J. White, Beva Lee L. McGuinty, Thomas A. Dorsey and Raymond Lee Guidry, Jr.; sixteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service for Mr. Guidry will be held on Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, La. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, La.
