Geo W. Pierson
George W. Pierson, aged 97, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clevie Bowen of Grubbs at 6:10 A. M. Saturday, after a long illness.
Born in Georgia, Mr. Pierson came to Arkansas at the age of 16. For the past 27 years he had made his home with his daughter, A member of the Baptist Church for 75 years, he was kind and loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by a son, Earl Pierson of Manila and a daughter, Mrs. Clevie Bowen of Tuckerman; twenty grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the graveside at (Buried Gracelawn)Pleasant Grove cemetery Sunday morning at 10:30 by the Re. Ray Rhyne, assisted by the Rev. John Crawford of Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Archie Cloud, Johnny Lee Johnson, Johnny Woodruff, Johnny McDougal, Edgar Ogden, and J. L. Carr.
The Frank Leach Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

George W. Pierson, 97, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Clevie Bowen of Grubbs at 6:10 a. m. today.
Besides Mrs. Bowen, he is survived by a son Earl Pierson of Manila, eighteen grandchildren and several great grand children.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 oclock Sunday morning at the Tuckerman cemetery by Rev. J. A. Crawford of Jonesboro.
Arrangements are in charge of Frank Leach Funeral Home.
