Newman and his wife Linda of Petaluma, CA, Marshall L. Newman and his wife Janet Endelman of San Francisco, CA and Ruth N. Pollak and her husband Timothy of Littleton, CO. Loving grandmother of Rina Borodkin, Sam Newman and Rebecca Newman. Loving aunt of Linda Klein of Atlanta, GA, Robert and Marian Klein of Waban, MA and Dan Klein of McLean, VA. Edna was a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a member of the Congregation B'nai Israel of Petaluma, CA, Hadassah, serving on the Hadassah board of directors, former treasurer of Congregation B'nai of Israel Sisterhood, Petaluma Jewish Women's Group, Chavurah, Lucchesi Senior Center and a former co-director of El Rancho Navarro. Edna was 81 years. Graveside services were held Monday, May 6, 2002 at 2:00 PM at B'nai Israel Cemetery, on Magnolia Ave, Petaluma, CA. Services were under the direction of the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY, Magnolia Ave and Keokuk St, Petaluma, CA. Contributions are preferred to Congregation B'nai Israel or to Hadassah, 740 Western Ave. Petaluma, CA, 94952 in memory of Edna K. Newman.
