Mr. Justin Alton Griffin, 38, died suddenly Tuesday (December 4, 2007) in Ware County from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
He was a native of Clinch County, but he has lived most of his life in Ware County. He was employed by CSX Railroad as an engineer/conductor for the past seven years, and attended Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Oliver Griffin of Manor; a daughter, Chelsea Griffin of Manor; two sons, Justin Noah Griffin of Manor, and Brett Courson of Valdosta; his mother, Peggy Mixon Guinn (husband Harold) of Manor; his father, Justin Okie Griffin (wife Janet) of Griffinville; a brother, Joseph William "Billy" Griffin of Manor; two sisters, Tammis Oliver (husband Edward) of Manor, and Kim Griffin (husband Andy Wade) of Griffinville; his grandmother, Jessie Henderson (husband Herman) of Manor; two nieces, Emily Oliver, and Mindy Lawson (husband Anthony); one nephew, Alton Oliver; a great niece and nephew, Bailey and Matthew Lawson; father-in-law, Virgil Oliver of Manor; mother-in-law, Betty Oliver of Manor; three brother-in-laws, Kent Oliver (wife Kristy) of Manor, Ivey Oliver (wife Cathy) of Nahunta, and Charlie Oliver of Fargo; an uncle, Rev. Baldy Mixon (wife Kellie) of Manor; and several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday (December 7, 2007) at Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will follow in Camp Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday at Music Funeral Home.
Employees of CSX Railroad as asked to meet 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church to serve as honorary pallbearers.

Manor motorcyclist killed in U.S. 84 wreck

A Manor man died Tuesday when his motorcycle crashed along U.S. 84 near Manor.
Justin Griffin, 38, was ejected in the crash about 12:10 p.m. near Jim Mixon Road west of Manor, said Senior Trooper Lisa Stafford of the Georgia State Patrol.
Griffin was driving west on a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja when he lost control while accelerating, Stafford said. The motorcycle struck road curbing, a state Department of Transportation sign and then a tree, she said.
