Nils Person, who formerly lived in the country south of Kandiyohi, passed away at the Old People's Home at Chisago City last Wednesday February 14th, the cause of death being heart failure.

He was born in Skane, Sweden Nov 25, 1842 and was 74 years, 2 months, and 19 days old. He was married in Sweden to Hannah Larson in 1868 and 7 children were born to the couple. Only 2 children survive, namely, Mrs. Nels Anderson of Atwater, and Mrs. Ed Nelson of Milaca.

He came to this country about 1870 and settled at Cokato from where a year later he came to this country and settled where he since made his home.

He had been a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church of Tripolis since 1871 and about four years ago left for Minneapolis where he stayed for a number of years and then to Chisago City, where his death occurred.

The body arrived here last Saturday and interment was made at the Tripolis Swedish Lutheran Church on Tuesday, Tev. Tillman officiating.
