Mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio. Born in Washington County, Virginia, he studied law at Parson Duke's Academy in Tennessee and then moved to the Northwest Territory when he was 18 years old settling near Hamilton, (Ohio). Hamilton's first attorney, he was elected in 1807 as a member of the General Assembly of Butler County. He moved to Cincinnati in 1811 and became a member of the General Assembly of Hamilton County. He was elected as the Mayor of Cincinnati in 1815 and served until 1819. Cincinnati's neighborhood of Corryville and Corry Street are named for him.
