Sgt. Huey P. Fassbender, III died as a result of an explosion in Iraq on Thursday, January 06, 2005 at the age of 24. Beloved son of Huey P. Fassbender, Jr. and Sandra Norra. Stepson of Johnny Norra and Jeanne Nouri. Brother of Jamie Lee Fassbender and Brian Norra. Grandson of Lolly Fassbender, Vance Blankenship, Rosemary Hurst and the late Huey P. Fassbender, Sr. and Calvin Hurst. Great-grandson of Cora Hernandez. Nephew of Randy Hurst, Liz Ashley, Shawn Fassbender, Kevin Fassbender and Jay Fassbender. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sgt. Fassbender was a resident of LaPlace and a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace. Relatives, friends of the family and the public are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In memory of Sgt.
