BELTON, Mo. - Nola E. Ellison, 103, Belton, Mo., and formerly of Chanute and Parsons, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home in Belton.
She was born Jan. 29, 1900, in Spring City, Mo., the daughter of Andrew and Kitty Jane Gilman Morehead.
She was a homemaker and babysitter. She also worked at the former Hammond Clothing Store.
She was a life-long member of the Eastern Star, Cheerful Berean Class, Peace and Progress Friends, VFW Auxiliary and the World War I Auxiliary.
On April 19, 1921, she married Vernon H. Ellison. He died in 1958.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Marie Standridge, Parsons, and Marilyn Taylor, Chanute; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wayne Ellison; a grandson, Craig Standridge; two brothers, George Morehead and Jay Morehead; and three sisters, Mae Kepley, G. Marie Morehead and Blanche Imel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Gibson-Koch-Friskel Chapel, Chanute. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons
