Robert was a 26 year old Farmer from Watson Mills, Alabama when he enlisted in Company A 10th Alabama Infantry June 4,1861. He died from disease at the Confederate Hospital in Danville, Virginia. He may be buried in Danville National Cemetery as were most of the men who died at Danville Hospital.
