Jacob A. ABRAM was born January 1, 1847, and departed this life at his home near Hendricksville, October 21, 1911, aged sixty-four years, nine months and seventeen days.
He was married to Miranda BULLOCK at about the age of twenty-one, to which union were born three children, two of whom died in infancy, and Milton H., the eldest, surviving. His wife died a few years after their marriage.
He was married a second time to Margaret SANDIFER, who lived but a few years. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Della ELLER, who is still living.
Mr. Abram was obedient to the Master's call while a young man and lived a zealous and faithful member of the Church of Christ till his death. We can say to this bereaved family, "Weep not as those who have no hope, "for we feel sure that he has only fallen asleep in Jesus to awaken on the other shore where there will be no sickness nor separation of friends, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, for henceforth they shall cease from their labors and their works do follow them."
He leaves three brothers–John ABRAM, of Linton, David H. ABRAM, of Elwren, and Samuel ABRAM, of Hendricksville, and one sister–Hulda ABRAM, of Hendricksville, who were all present at the funeral, who with a host of friends and relatives mourn his departure.
The funeral services occurred Monday, conducted by Elder W. B. TAYLOR, of Dugger, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Liberty.
