Died - Saturday afternoon, Mr. William "Uncle Billie" Gould, about 87. Interment in the family cemetery at Roberts' Mill where other members of his family sleep. Mr. Gould came here from Ireland about 1840. He was a Catholic priest and served in Charleston for a short time. He served under Lee and did active service during the entire four years of the war in Virginia. He was present at Appomatox and saw General Lee surrender to General Grant.
