Katheryn Taylor of the Roosevelt Community departed this life on April 8, 2009 at the age of 91 years. She was born on September 7, 1917 to Logan Barney and Dorothy Lee (Tice) Bybee in Taleque, OK.
She attended high school in Abilene and then married G.H. Taylor in 1955. Katheryn worked as a Registered Nurse in the Army during WWII and during that time, she achieved the rank of Captain. She was an active member in the Native American Organization, the Eastern Star Chapter 890, VFW Post, Texas and in the Ladies Auxiliary #6797.
She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Idalou Cemetery in Idalou, Texas with Charles Hankson officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home in Idalou.
