Della is my cousin.
Della Faye McCleve Herlin was born Tuesday, October 20, 1925 in Garfield, Utah and was the daughter of the late Parley Pratt and Eliza Percinda Thompson McCleve.

She married Floyd James Herlin on March 14, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church, where she loved working with Primary children, especially helping with their music. Served a mission to Southern States; also served a mission with her husband to New Zealand. Worked as a medical transcription clerk for Bryner Clinic and as manager of Deseret Book in the Valley Fair Mall.

She passed away on Saturday, July 26, 1997 at her home. She resided at 4522 West 4895 South in the Hoffman Heights neighborhood of Kearns, Utah at the time of her death.

She left to cherish her memory her husband, Floyd of Kearns; sons and daughter, F. James (Connie) Herlin, Kearns; Robert D. Herlin; West Valley City; Russell K. Herlin, Kearns; Carl (Jeannine) Herlin, West Jordan; Kendra L. Herlin, Kearns; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers and one sister, Parley R. McCleve, Murray; Kenneth T. McCleve, Salt Lake City; J. Duane McCleve, West Valley City; LaVon Ray, Mesa, Arizona.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, July 30, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kearns Fourth Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 4660 West 5015 South in Kearns. Calling hours were held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West) in Taylorsville, and on Wednesday at the Church from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m.
Della was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in East Millcreek.
