I found Pretty Girl flying around my yard on September 13, 2005, she had an injured leg so I took her to the vets to make her better and she became my little parakeet, she was so sweet, when you spoke to her she would come up to the cage to kiss your nose...She loved millet sprays and looked forward to her treats, she also loved romaine lettuce and taking baths....
Four years later I noticed that she had lost some weight but was still eating, I took her to the vet but he couldn't find what was wrong with her, he sent me home with antibiotics and I had to hand feed her but several days later she turned for the worst and died in my arms, I'm glad I was there with her and she didn't die alone.....she leaves behind two other parakeet, we all will sadly miss this little girl.....
