DEATH OF WILLIAM BROWN
RETIRED FARMER SUCCUMBS TO AN ATTACK OF HEART TROUBLE
William Brown, 71 years old died at his home at 1203 Valley Street at 7 o'clock this morning. Death was due to heart trouble. Mr. Brown had been in poor health two years, but was only confined to his bed three weeks before his death.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in the Federal Army. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Jasper County many years.
He is survived by his wife, five children, two brothers and three sisters. They are as follows:
Melvin Brown and George Brown of Maple Grove
Mrs. R. M. Porter of Carthage
Mrs. J. A. Paugh of Pittsburg, Kansas and
Jennie Brown who resides at the home in Carthage
The funeral services were held Saturday at the Holiness Church, corner of Grant and Chestnut Streets in Carthage.
Rev. Mr. Robb of Sarcoxie conducted the services.
