Belma Morlan Leach, 80, of Williamstown, W.Va., died April 7, 2002, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Bertha Alice Henthorn Bauman. She had been employed by the Worthington Manor Nursing Home for 21 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Root and her husband, Curtis Jr. of Williamstown; two grandchildren, Stephanie Root Imes and her husband, Albert of Clear Springs, Md., and Curtis Root III and his wife, Rita of Parkersburg; two great- grandchildren, Tiffany Minks and Brandon Root; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Morlan; five brothers, Herold, Marion, Dexter, Curtis and Everett; four sisters, Murhl Petty, Beulah James, Virta Wigal and Belma's twin sister, Thelma Tice.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, with Kevin Phillips officiating. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
