Jack Harden Sneed (1944-2011)

SHERMAN - Graveside services for Jack Harden Sneed, 66, of Sherman will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 in the Veterans Section of West Hill Cemetery. Rev. Stan McNutt of Liberty Baptist Church will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the Honor Guard from Ft. Hood. Mr. Sneed passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 at his home near Tom Bean.

Jack was born April 24, 1944 in Sherman to Carlton and Cordell (Harden) Sneed. He graduated from Tom Bean High School in 1962 and Grayson College. He served in the U.S. Army from July 1965 to June 1967. He married Linda Copley March 14, 1985 in Sherman. He was a Baptist. He worked in construction as a plumber for many years. He loved working in his shop repairing things, working on cars or anything that needed fixing. For the past 20 years, he had been disabled.

Jack is survived by his wife Linda of Sherman; daughter, Jacqueline Sneed of Frisco; stepdaughter, Jana Hall of Ardmore, Okla.; grandsons, Josh Hall of Ardmore and Tyler Hall of Ravenna; and sister, Yvonna Harden of Sherman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
