Mrs. W.C. Turpin of Oreana died at 6:10 Tuesday morning at the Decatur and Macon County hospital. She was operated on last Friday. Mrs. Turpin became ill about three weeks ago and was brought to the hospital a few days later. She was about thirty-five years old. She had lived in the vicinity of Oreana all her life and was well known there. She was an active member of the Oreana Christian church and had many friends.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Turpin of Oreana. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ida Pensinger of Decatur, two step-sisters, Miss Ruth Fombelle and Mrs. Mattie Austin and two step-brothers, Justice Fombelle and Reid Fombelle, all living northeast of Decatur.
The body was taken to the Brintlingers and prepared for burial.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 Thursday morning at the Christian church in Oreana.
