Ralph A. Frisk of Anacortes died March 31, 1990 in that city. He was 93. Mr. Frisk was born March 28, 1897 to Matilda and Albert Frisk in Mountain Grove, Missouri, where he was raised and received his schooling.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War I and in 1925 in married Edna Holdren. He was a car dealer in Mountain Grove until 1938 and then owned a garage in Harrison, Idaho until 1943.

During World War II, he was a civilian machinist for the U.S. Air Force. He then owned a grocery store in Reardan from 1946-1962, the year of his retirement. In 1987, he moved to Anacortes where he resided until his death.

Mr. Frisk was an avid sportsman and was also a member of the Reardan Presbyterian Church, the Reardan Masonic Lodge #146, F & AM, the American Legion and a former member of the Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, in 1987 after 62 years of marriage.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Vi Frisk of Anacortes; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Holdren of Warrensburg, Missouri and Mary Frisk of Oaksdale, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held today, April 5, at 10 a.m. in the Reardan Cemetery. Rev. Cynthia Rodkey will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Reardan Presbyterian Church in Reardan or to the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Anacortes. Evans Funeral Chapel of Anacortes and Strate Funeral Home of Davenport are in charge of arrangements. [Davenport Times; April 5, 1990]
