He was born in Coraopolis in 1931, the eldest son of the late William Joseph and Mary Jellison. He attended Moon Area High School and St. Francis University in Loretta, Pa., where he played football, one of his life long interests.
Mr. Jellison proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout as a boy and served in the US Army in Japan as a young man.
He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Fotheringham, who preceded him in death, and together they built their lives and raised their family in southern California. He was employed in the aeronautics industry for many years, retiring in 1994 as Burbank Aircraft senior vice president.
Surviving are his sons and their wives, Clark and Kelly Jellison and Craig and Mary Jellison; granddaughters, Jessica and Amanda Jellison of Newhall, Calif., and a sister, Mary Ploy of Monrovia, Calif.
In addition to his wife, his three brothers, James, Robert and John preceded him in death.
His many friends and extended family will remember him most for his warm sense of humor and generous and caring nature and will miss his greatly.
