Thomas WICKER, Sr. (1717-1784) RS NC

THOMAS WICKER, SR. was born in New Kent County, Virginia on the 11 th of August 1717 and died in Chatham County, North Carolina on the 7th day of January, 1784. His place of residence during the Revolution was Granville County, N.C. He received Land Grant No. 458 (Chatham Co.) March 3, 1780, Bk. 32 p.312:
"State Liberty Land Grant office, Secty of State, Raleigh, N.C.

Before 1747, he married MARY HESTER who was born at New Kent or Louisa County, Virginia and died, at Chatham County, North Carolina, after 1784.

The said THOMAS WICKER, JR. is the ancestor who assisted in establishing American Independence while acting in the capacity of SOLDIER--NORTH CAROLINA TROOPS.
