Son of Glen Alvin and Edith Olive Eldredge Hatch.
Husband of Bette Jean Owen.
Major Hatch, 26, whose widow, Bette Jean Owen Hatch resides in Woods Cross, was killed in action in Holland Oct. 16. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen A. Hatch, Woods Cross.
A University of Utah graduate, he entered the army in June 1941. He received his commission in July 1944 and was in flying division of the field artillery, assigned to reconaissance work.
Major Hatch was an officer in the ROTC at the university where he majored in business. He trained in Texas and later at Fort Sill, Okla., where he and Mrs. Hatch were married.
Survivors include his widow and parents; a brother, Capt. Horace Hatch, Fort Kearney, Neb., and a grandfather, A.U. Eldredge, Woods Cross.
Two cousins, Gene and Clyde (Jimmy) Hatch, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde A. Hatch, Woods Cross, were killed in action during the past 10 months.
