I found a civil war record for William Fauth. Enlisted as a Musician on 24 Apr 1861 at the age of 19 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Union side. Enlisted in Company E, 1st Infantry Regiment Michigan on 1 May 1861. Mustered out Company E, 1st Infantry Regiment Michigan on 7 Aug 1861 at Detroit, MI.

Husband of Augusta Fauth

Death certificate shows he was the son of Godfrey Fauth and Lena Arbor (both of Germany), male, white, widower, musician, born August 9, 1841 NY and died on September 4, 1914 at Soldier's Home Hospital in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI at the age of 73 years and 25 days, cause of death amputation of leg. Burial was on September 8, 1914 St. Louis, Mich.
