COLLINSTON RESIDENT DIES IN HOSPITAL ON JUNE 18
On Thursday evening, June 18, 1942, at Bastrop General Hospital, Edgar E. Eskridg died of pneumonia and other complications.

Mr.Eskridge was born December 7, 1867, in Bossier Parish. He came to Morehouse Parish when he was three years old. His mother was a widow and had come here to make her home with her father, Mr. Lusk. Mr. Eskridge spent the remained of his life here except for a few years in White, Arkansas, where he met and married his wife, Miss Sallie Taylor on October 5, 1902.

Sally Taylor Eskridge
His sister:
Mrs. Joe Spier of Collinston
A half-brother:
Lee Bilberry of Bastrop
a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were in charge of the Dixie Funeral Home of Monroe. Services were conducted by Rev. H.M. Bennett, pastor of the Baptist Church of Bastrop. Interment was in the Carter Cemetery of Collinston.
